Organizing Milk Collection in the Tanzanian Dairy Sector

This research had been commisioned by the Tanzanian Association for Mlik Producers (TAMPA) through SNV, Netherlands Development Organization and focuses on the organization of milk collection centers with the aim of ensuring a more stable and reliable supply of milk to the milk processors in Tanzania.

The study provided suggestions on how the organizational models for milk collection currently present in the Tanzanian Dairy industry can be optimized, which critical succes factors have to be addressed in order to do so and which strategies processors can follow in order to be ensured of a stable and reliable milk supply throughout the year.
