Short Profile

Mr. Kalumiana holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree (Natural Resources) from the University of Zambia and a Master’s of Business Administration, MBA, from the Maastricht School of Management and Eastern & Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI). He has worked in the energy sector for the last 18 years, and has been employed as Director, Department of Energy in Zambia. Major responsibilities include development and implementation of energy policies, programs and projects, and national energy planning. In addition, he carries out research and consultancy in energy. Mr. Kalumiana’s research interests include energy & environmental issues, energy access for the poor, deployment of renewable energy sources, energy & climate change.
